3917.0. "DEJAVU THE FANTASTIC" by AIMHI::OFFEN () Fri Aug 17 1990 15:54

Well, gang. I have to tell you about my wonderful, timid, shy
kitty named DejaVu. She has totally amazed me.....

That's right. DejaVu. The one that hides behind bookcases when
people come to visit. The one that lives with White Lightning and
Black Thunder, the Queen and the Instigator.

DejaVu has been *stalking* something in the house for two days.
Whatever it was, it was under the stove in the kitchen and also in the
vent in the family room. I figured there was something under the
trailor that she was hearing. I have had kittys and skunks and
squirrels and chipmunks under there. I let her have her fun.

Well, my daughter called to inform me that there was a mouse (dead)
in the family room!!! DejaVu will now be known as *DejaVu the
Fantastic*. This is a totally indoor, declawed, afraid of the outdoors
kitty that we are talking about. I am so proud of her !!!!!!

Lightning never even showed the least bit of interest in these strange
noises. She was too busy harrassing Patches. Thunder was curious but
too busy being and instigator to be bothered.

DejaVu was so proud of herself. She was prancing around the mouse to
make sure my daughter noticed it. My daughter had the *honors* of
disposing of the remains when DejaVu was done *preening*.

    Way to go Deja !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandi, mom to Thunder, Lightning, DEJAVU, Storm, and Patches

Sandi, You just blew the logic for a previous noter who asked
how she could stop her kitty from killing things outside. The
solution was to make it an indoor kitty....Guess that won't work
    in all cases either.

Congratulation to the indoor hunter...may she catch all your indoor
    mice!!

Sandy (Tamba, Poco and Barkley - all three are great hunters)

    Sandi,
I too live in a trailer. The layouts must be a little similar, door in
hall that holds the heater with a screen in the floor and a large crack
under the door that leads to it. Anyway, my Wing who is sometimes
questionably retarded (she isn't) was sitting and staring at this door
for weeks! We were really starting to wonder!!8'* Well she must have
heard a mouse, because I got up one morining and there it was in the
hall outside my bedroom. The worst part about this was when I left the
bedroom and walked to the kitchen I didn't see it. When I was going
back to bed it had appeared in the hall. Wing usually brings all her
toys to bed at night and I wake up to a string or spidey in my face.
Thank heavens the mouse wasn't in my face, but I will never know!!
To this day she still sits and waits for the next one!

    Hi Sandi!

Still waters run deep! It may have taken DeJa all this time to figure
out what she could do better the the rest of the furry family!!

Give lots of love and hugs to all for me, and an extra pat on the head
    for DeJa, intrepid hunter!!

    Just an update.....

DejaVu is now *guarding* the stove, waiting for her next mouse. What
    a Kitty!!!!!

I am so proud of her... And yes, Sue. She has definitely proven
herself worthy. Of course, she always has been ......
