3807.0. "Dr. Verbridge" by FRAGLE::PELUSO (PAINTS; color your corral) Thu Jul 19 1990 15:56

Dr. Verbridge has passed away suddenly. I am so bummed! He
is the second vet I've had for Nippa who's passed away on me.

If anyone has any info to add, please do. When I called to make
an appiontment for Busters neutering, the girl who answered
was too much of a mess to say anything.

3807.1We will miss him..EDUHCI::DUMASFri Jul 20 1990 10:2620
I was just in to see Dr Verbridge on Monday, with my Frisco. He
looked fine to me. This is so sudden. I feel like I lost a real
good friend. I am deeply hurt.

I tried calling to talk to Shirley, the receptionist but she wasn't
in. The girl who answered the phone said an autopsy will be done.

The wake will be on Tuesday. I will have to read the newspaper to
find out where it will be. She had to go. The other phone line was
ringing, or else I would have kept her on the phone to find out
    more info.

I know he has a mother who lives in Florida. So I don't know if
the wake will be around here and if he will be flown to Florida.

He has been a real good friend to me and my two little ones.

    I will miss him deeply.

Yes, this is just so sad. I finally found a vet I like and trust and
could really RELATE to and now he's gone. Sigh... it is going to be
tough to find another vet like him in my area.

Should we include Dr Verbridge in the Silver Lining Memorial?
If so, I need his full name
3807.4FSHQA1::RKAGNOFri Jul 20 1990 16:584
    That's a nice thought, Nancy.

    It is Dr. David Verbridge.

    Nancy,

That's a terriffic idea. Now I did not know Dr. Verbridge, but I can't
imagine any vet who wouldn't feel honored by inclusion in the SLM.

There will be a memorial service for Dr. Verbridge Tuesday evening
at 7:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Congregational Church, Rte 140 in
Grafton. The family has asked that memorial contributions may be
sent to the Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine. Since so many of
our vets (and kitties!) depend on the support of Tufts, perhaps they
could be the recipient of this quarter's SLM??

N D-C, can you post your address and timeline for this quarter for
    us (again...)?

    Mary

Well, we already have one request for the Morris Animal Foundation
so we'll have to see how much of a donation there is.
