Note 3004.0 poison warning in neighborhood 3 replies

I can't believe some people!!!
I was driving home yesterday and saw a sign:
"WARNING, Animals in the area are being poisoned. Call 2-BAR-O(feed store)
if yours has been."
I called to see what was going on. I thought maybe a few dogs had found
poisoned coyote bait(I live in the Arizona desert), not so.
It seems the lady that put up the signs
had her two cocker spaniels poisoned IN HER OWN BACK YARD!! They were
dead within 6 minutes of being let out into the yard. After she
put up the signs 6 more people called to report that their dog had been
poisoned also. They are all in the same area, but not in the same
neighborhood(ruling out angry neighbor).
An autopsy(sp?) is being done on one of the dogs. Strictnine(sp?)
is suspected.
Does anyone know anything that can be done to stop such a person?
(of course authorities have been notified)
What can I do (and tell others to do) to insure my dog isn't poisoned?
I have already restricted her to a leash when outside(min. schnauser),
but what about the outside dogs in the neighborhood.
THIS MAKES ME SO MAD!!!
HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO CRUEL TO JUST TAKE A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY LIKE THAT?

I sometimes let her out in the FULLY enclosed dog/cat run, but I always check
it first.)

Its crap like that that really really shakes my faith in humans.
Did anyone see Ghost yet? I like to think that what happened to

No, the "person" hasn't been caught yet. The count is up to 18 dogs. All poisoned in their own back yards. I still can't believe anyone would do such a thing. My puppy still only goes out on leash and the cat/dog run is checked before the cat or dog is allowed out. Becky | |||||
