3785.0. "Birthday wish" by LUNER::VEZINA () Tue Jul 10 1990 15:53

            Hi folks, hopefuly someone out there can help me
    make my wifes birthday wish come true. She wants a white
    kitten, which will replace "Ashely" lost aprox. a year ago.
    We have two others right now....there both mine. One I found
    at the Humane Society aprox (3) years ago called "Samantha"...
    dark grey persian. Another I picked up from a friend ....all
    black angora called "Rockwell", he was found in a garbage bucket
    filled with water, luckly someone came along. There both excellent
    pets.
           But my wifes at al lost for her own cat, her birthday is
    July 29th, so I dont have much time. Willing to consider some
    cost.

3785.1Young White Exotic Short or Long hairs!ICS::GERRYHome is where the Cat isTue Jul 10 1990 16:2217
    I have two white kittens that were born in an Exotic Shorthair litter
    Friday, June 29th. They definitely won't be ready to go before her
    birthday, but, you could always take a few pictures, and give her the
    rest of the "kitty things" as the gift.

    I won't be able to tell for a couple more weeks if they are long or
    shorthaired, but they are both girls. In case you don't know, Exotic
    Shorthairs are basically persians with shorter coats. Or, as Jo says,
    Persians in their underwear. The longhaired ones look exactly like
    persians.

    If you think you might be interested in this idea, send me mail. In
    the meantime, I'll keep my ears open for anyone who might have a white
    kitten.

3785.2Ad on the wall at the vet'sPINION::LAURIETue Jul 10 1990 20:2911

    At my vet's last saturday, I saw a picture of a mother cat with 4
    kittens. The kittens were up for adoption, 2 were gray, one was
    orange, and the 4th appeared to be all white.

    I didn't write down the number of the person who put this ad on
    the wall. You could call Central Animal Hospital in Leominster,
    and ask them to read the number under the picture of 4 kittens
    on the wall to you.

3785.3Try "Concord Adopt-A-Cat"....MCIS5::MCDONOUGHWed Jul 11 1990 13:3718
      You may want to also check in Concord with Mrs. Morway at "Concord
    Adopt-A-Cat" I got my "Cookie" from her...."Cook" tested FELV-positive,
    and since I already had one FELV+ cat, I went to "look" at her and left
    with her, naturally. Phone # is 508-369-9467

      Cookie is a peach..she's small, all white except for two black spots
    on her ears, a totally black tail, and black "leggings" on her rear
    legs. Her ears are too big for her head 'n body, and she likes to ride
    in the car---her "seat" is the top of the driver's seat, stretched out
    against my neck with her face at the window so she can see what's
    happening and where we're going.

      Mrs Morway usually has up to 75 cats, so you may luck out and find a
    white kitten there....
