3728.0. "Luke and Misty need a home..." by LEDDEV::DELMONICO (Jim --<Philippians 4:4-7>--) Wed Jun 20 1990 11:12

         We need a loving home for our two cats. They're both about two
    years old and are indoor cats. They've been altered, declawed, and are
    current on all shots. Both are very tidy and are happy with just about
    any food you give them

         One is a creme colored Persian (Luke- he's a boy) who I would
    describe as very relaxed about life. He loves to curl up upside down
    on your lap purring while you watch TV. He likes to be brushed and
    blow dryed, too. He's a really pretty cat with a terrific tail!

         The other is a fairly long haired girl named Misty. She's petite
    and graceful, with soft gray hair on her back and a fluffy white face
    and chest. She's also got cute little white paws. Misty is very
    affectionate, and loves cuddling. She's also very playful, not shy at
    all, and is a great bug hunter :^). Her name is Misty partly because
    she sneezes at least a couple times a day - vet said its just slight
    allergies and is nothing to worry about.

         They have grown up together and are good buddies. If someone could
    adopt them together, it would be wonderful. If not, both would get
    along fine with other cats or their new family. They've been fine with
    our friend's kids, too. We'd be happy to supply all records, and
    equipment to their new family. We will be living in Ashburnham until
    July 14th (then we're moving), which is why we have to find a good home
    for our furry friends. I can be reached by EMAIL at LEDDEV::DELMONICO
    (DTN 223-5292). You can call us at home anytime at 508-827-4744
    (leave a message if we're not home). We'd be willing to travel, but
    they think cars mean vet visits so you may not see their true
    personalities if we bring them to you.

    Thanks for helping us with our difficult task :^(

3728.1wish I could help!SAGE::WATSONThu Jun 21 1990 13:156
    Both cats sound WONDERFUL! It's times like this that I half-wish I
    were "catless", because I'd gladly take them. However, Benj has this
    jealous streak in him that just won't quit. Previous efforts to adopt
    new cats have not worked out because of it.

    Good luck with your search.
3728.2Can anyone help?LEDDEV::DELMONICOJim --<Philippians 4:4-7>--Thu Jun 28 1990 14:186

    Jim -
      Perhaps you can find a foster home for your kitties while you
    continue to look for a home for them.

3728.4They're staying 'in the family'!LEDDEV::DELMONICOJim --<Philippians 4:4-7>--Mon Jul 09 1990 12:507
    Just to let everyone know, we found a good solution! My brother
    and his wife are taking Misty to be Odie's friend, and my parents
    are taking Luke to be Jessie and Max's friend! Misty is being
    real sociable after only a day, but Luke is still scared and hasn't
    come out from hiding.

    Thanks for all your help!

    Jim, I am very glad to hear that a workable solution for the cats was
    reached! Terrific news!! Misty is so beautiful and Luke is a doll. I
    wish I could have been of more help to you and if I didn't already have
    4 of my own I would have taken them myself!

    I am sure that Luke will come around soon. He is probably very
    frightened being away from Misty. He looked very dependent upon her in
    the photo you sent. Tell your parents not to force him to be sociable
    and to work with Luke on his terms. He will eventually return the love
    and affection on his own.

    Best of luck in your new home.
