| 3719.1 | COULD YOU DESCRIBE THE KITTIE? | FRICK::AMCGOWAN |  | Tue Jun 19 1990 13:46 | 5 |
| | Hi Jean, could you tell us a little about the kitty. Long or short
hair, markings, indoor or outdoor. Is she spayed? Please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Arlene

| 3719.2 | Her description ... | CST5::CASTIGLIONE |  | Tue Jun 19 1990 14:19 | 33 |
| |
I'll try and describe her as best I can ... I am not very
familiar with cats but I'll give it a try.
She has long hair, green eyes, and is white around the
	face/neck/front legs and then a greyish/blackish/brownish
	hair on the rest.
I'm not sure if she is spayed or not; my brother took her
in as a stray about 6 months ago and has kept her in the
house. I sent away (from the Friends of Animals) for the
half-price coupon and was going to take her to the vets
to be checked out if I did keep her.
She's great; she only goes in her litter box, is loving and
affectionate, is pretty calm, but seems to run around a
bit at night. She eats anything I give her - drinks nothing
	(water nor milk).
I even went to the pet store last week and bought AllerPet -
a new concoction to bathe the cat in that helps most allergies,
	except not mine.
I hope I've given you enough information.
Any help in finding her a home would be greatly appreciated.
My DTN is 297-6174, home phone (508) 478-6771 is you have
	any leads.
	Thanks,
	Jean

| | She sounds gorgeous! From your description I'd say she's a brown
tabby & white. The green eyes must be stunning!

If you've had her for 6-7 months and she's not gone into heat,
unless she was very young, sounds like she's spayed. If you take
her to a vet s/he may be able to feel the spay scar.

What medications do you currently use? My husband has asthma, which
is a common problem with cat allergies, and, fortunately, is able to
control it with seldane and slo-bid (300 mg). It might also help
you in the short term to keep her out of your bedroom. I have other
friends that are allergic and do fine as long as the cats don't
    sleep with them.

Get a good picture of her (where are you located??) and bring it to the
Salem Ma show the end of this month or send it to me at MR03-1/N17 or
I can give you my home phone - and I"ll take it to the show. Perhaps
we can find an interested party to take your little girl.

Contact me via VAXmail and I'll see if I can help you publicize her.
You might also put up a note at the local grocery stores. Wouldn't
hurt to ask for a donation to a local shelter just to keep the
    adoptee honest.
Good luck and let me know if I can help (aside from taking her
    myself)
      Nancy DC

    phone.
