3482.0. "Ya can't change a cat's clock !" by TOPDOC::TRACHMAN (Exotics are Shorthaired Persians) Tue Apr 03 1990 10:00

    Did anyone notice any strange cat behavior Sunday or Monday evening
    or night? I mentioned to someone that some of my cats were acting
    a little off schedule, and they said why shouldn't they - they lost
    an hour of sleep also. Sunday night I went to bed, but there wasn't
    one cat on the bed. They were still in the livingroom, which was
    very strange! An hour later, they all got up and started their
    presleep foolin' around, which made me a little miffed as I had
    been asleep for an hour. Needless to say, THE CREEPS WOKE ME UP!

    Did anyone else notice any difference from the time change?

    Yes, but interestingly enough both cats reacted differently. Panther
    no longer wakes me up at 5:00 A.M. because the sun is not up yet, she
    wakes me up at 6:00. (Relief! Panther believes EVERYONE should rise
    with the sun, sleep most of the day and night and rise with the sun
    again. That must be when the birds get up.)

    Spot, well spot still wants dinner one hour after she has been fed.
    "Mummie just because you silly humans insist on fooling around with
    those clock things is no reason for me not to get fed!" She does the
    same thing in reverse in the fall. She will eat anytime, day or night!

    hmm.. wel it would appear that only Preschie was confused..
    just a tad.. Pookie went to bed the same time I went,
    Happy was having her snack.. and Preschie was playing..

    	Well,

    	Catnippy has noticed there is goodness to this time change.
    	I get up an hour earlier (which confuses the daylights *pun*
    	out of her 'internal alarm clock') and let her go play a little
    	earlier before she has to come in so I can go to work.

    	The other thing is that 'mom' gets home an hour earlier so
    	there is more daylight on the end. She gets let out while
    	the sun is shining and she can play some.

3482.4Wake Up, Mom's home!BOOVX2::MANDILEWed Apr 04 1990 10:417
    My four guys are confused on why Mummy gets home so early. They
    always were at the door waiting for me before. Now the little
    brats are getting their rest disturbed! They come from all directions,
    stretching and yawning, blinking at me, wondering what I am doing
    home so early.
