HI! - it's nice to be back to FELINES - I have been out "enhancing my
career" - anyway:
As some of you might remember, I adopted Dickens The Killer Cat last
August. He has turned out to be a whole lot of fun. I call him
Dickens the Dog now! He is too much.
I was just reading the Honeybears note and saw something about "splayed
toes" and it made me think of Dickens. Not that he's a show cat, but .
. .
He is all grey on the top, with white underneath, a white mask and four
white feet. When he sits, his front feet (that have an extra THUMB)
point out. Is this splayed? I think there is something special in his
mixed up breed and wonder if the "duck toes" have any meaning?
I swear he's regal!

No Paula, that's not what I meant when I wrote about Scottish folds
and "splayed" toes. Those are just "training paws" and Bob has
those too :-)
What I was referring to is a defect in Scottish folds which causes
the pads to spread apart. Just to be sure I looked up the word
Splay which means: 1. spread or turned out 2. Clumsy; awkward.
I suppose that definition #2 might apply to Bob, but it was really
definition #1 that I wanted.

Well, we're fond of saying that "Bob takes the *special* bus" and
also that he still has his "training paws".
