3454.0. "Quote of the day!" by ASABET::CUNNIFF () Fri Mar 23 1990 14:58

    Saw a quote that I know FELINERs would appreciate -

    "Women and cats do as they damned well please.
    Men and dogs had best learn to live with it..."

    (attributed to Alan Holbrook - wonder if it's actually
    "Hal" Holbrook, who did so much Mark Twain material?)

    (I have a feeling Nancy is going to cross-stitch this one and put
    it where I'll see it every day :-)

    You got that right! Just so you won't forget. ;-)

    (Of course, you pretty much do as you please too.......)
3454.2Mark Twain and "Rent-a-Cat"CSC32::K_KINNEYMon Mar 26 1990 13:038

    	Speaking of Mark Twain...I just read in my latest copy
    	of YANKEE Magazine that Mark Twain was never without
    	a cat. When he was out of town, he went so far as to
    	"rent" kitties rather than try adopting them and leaving
    	them behind.
