Sam was soooo cute last night. John and I had just finished trimming a dead branch off of a tall fig tree that we have in the living room and we were standing there looking "up" at what we had done. In walks Sam, and guess what? He starts looking "up" just like a person would do. Every now and then I would look down at him and he would look at me. As soon as I started looking up again, so would he. Gosh, I wonder what was going through his mind. I know what I was looking at but I wonder what he was looking at? I swear he thinks he's a person and not a cat. Jeanne P.S. He's also been eating lots of people food lately. Last week, he ate mushrooms, tofu and onions and of course his favorite, chillie!

Yes..........I believe it has to do with their curiosity..... "They must - know all!" TV -- "What are ya doing?" --- "Where are ya going?" -- "Can I have some of that?" What are they thinking? {"I wonder what the heck she's looking at?"} all they do is go - go - go. They talk to me and try to explain.... They must learn MY language.........MEOW talk! Jeanne, I can't do *anything* without a cat accompanying me. Kirby is the biggest pain, my husband always jokes about trading him in for another cat. He has to see whatever I'm doing, if I'm cleaning the toilet, he's trying to hang over the rim, if I'm doing the bathtub or taking a shower, he's got his paws up on the end of the tub peeking in. He hates to be alone, and will think nothing of destroying something to get our attention. With him around, we need a squirt bottle in every room of the house. Murdock's curiousity always gets the best of him. One Saturday morning, he got up on the dining room table and was looking up at the wicker chandelier. Next thing I knew, he had his two front paws into it, jumped in the air, and starting swinging. Well, it couldn't hold his weight, and both he and light came crashing down, sending the vase of silk flowers toppling over and skidding across the table. Grrrrrrrrr. And he didn't even learn his lesson! Twice I have caught him trying to repeat this circus act. He is never purposely destructive (like Kirby), he just wants to know about everything, and see what makes it tick. --Roberta |
