Operation Kindness is a non-profit organization that does not kill the animals , but holds them till they find homes for them. The only catch is that you usually are on a long waiting list. There is one in Dallas, but I would try checking it out in your neighborhood too. Its a good feeling to know that the little animals wont be killed. donna

Also, the dog catcher in Haverhill, MA takes cats and finds them homes. They don't charge you anything, but they don't receive andy money from the state either. If they aren't given cat food, these people go out an buy it themselves. So, if you have a cat they won't ever kill them, but please don't give these people a cat and not enough food. The people who run the place are very poor themselves. # dog catcher - 374-2415 if you cant reach them, you can leave a message at the Haverhill Police. 373-1212 Rachael |
