    I liked this,many wont,but it tickled me at the time,that is,if
you remember that its in the cats nature to kill birds and bring
them home. I'll form feed it in case anyone does not want to hear
about dead birds.....ARE YOU REALLY SURE YOU WANT TO....??????

    O.K.then....

I came down stairs to find MB had caught a bird and had brought
it into the kitchen,so I removed the bird and chucked it into the
rubbish bin and thought no more of it. Half an hour later MB came
strolling into the living room with the bird in his mouth again.....
So I took it away again and put it in the compost heap....buried.....

I left at 10.00am to work at my dads, leaving Jane to do her housework
    and things.

I came home to hear"$%%&'%$% cat!" " Go away %%$" cat!"

It turns out that MB had not only retrieved the bird from the compost
heap, but had brought it back to the bedroom to give it to JAne,but
she had hidden it another 3 TIMES from him and each time he had
brought it back. This occasion was slightly worse as she had been
having a nap on the sofa and MB had jumped onto the sofa,on to her
chest and was offering her the bird aAGAIN!

    She did not look well!!

I'm afraid my attempt at scolding MB did not go well as I coulnt
    stop laughing at the situation....

    Love that cat!

MB sounds like my Spunks. It reminds me of the time....

My husband and I and Spunks and Zildjian moved in with my mother after
my father passed away. We were working outside and around the corner
comes Spunks with a live Purple Finch in her mouth. We tried to run
after her but it became apparent she would not give it up. Michael
then turned the hose on her and she let go of the bird and it flew
away. Poor Spunks, needless to say she looked at us as if to say "Hey,
that was my toy! What'd you do that for?"

I hoped that bird learned a lesson - beware of the four legged,
whiskered felines that like to prey on birds!

It wasn't a bird, but it was funny. My first Korat had been out in
the back yard with my mom while she was gardening. They both came
in for lunch together, but "Whiskey" had his head hanging really low
as he came towards me. I immediately, of course, thought he was ill
and grabbed him to see what was the matter. I came face to face
with the garter snake he had all coiled up in his mouth!!!!!
Just then, it got away from him and dropped onto the floor. It
scooted away across the kitchen floor, and slid under the fridge.
Whiskey patiently waited for that snake to stick out its head from
its safe spot for OVER TWO HOURS! His patience was rewarded, and
he brought me his "Treasure" again. I took him outside and got
the snake out of his mouth. A kitty treat and much praise for the
    "Great Silver Gray Hunter"!

If one of my cats had done that to me, I would have had a heart attack.

I have a terrible fear of snakes and that would have definitely done me
    in.

    Cute story though

This didn't happen to me but to a good friend of mine.

Marsha was nursing a cold and had been taking a long nap during
the afternoon. While she was in dream land Mongo the "pink nosed
mouser" went on a field trip and came home with his prize - a mouse
which he dropped on her chest just as she was waking up. Well,
the only thing her feet touched was air as she flew off the bed,
flung herself across the room and landed in the hall crasing into
her daughters bike which came down on her foot and caused a hair-
line fracture. Jim, her husband, came running to rescue and found
Mongo presenting the mouse at the FOOT of her crumpled form and
Marsha in a total hysterical state. Poor Mongo just could figure
out what was wrong and why mom screeeeeeeeemed all the way to the
hospital - After all mom - I just wanted to show you "how good I
    done".

I love it! If you guys would catch your own food like proper cats,
all these baby cats wouldn't have to do it for you!

For lack of birds to catch indoors, my cat catches spiders.
I live in a townhouse. The very bottom floor has a garage and an
entrance, which spiders use alot. My boy cat, (Spike who looks like
Morris), will sit down there for HOURS looking at the ceiling waiting
for a spider to appear. When he sees one, he starts to cry, (as he
can't reach it), and he continues to cry until he hears me coming.
Then I lift him up, supporting only under his back legs, and he catches
the spider, eats it, and walks around proudly for about 10 minutes!

    Weird cat, huh?

    Can I borrow Spike?

See there's this HUGE spider that's living in my bathroom, and
my cat's seem to have joined the local chapter of the SPCS (Society
for the prevention of creulty to spiders).

You can send him to Candia any time soon - we have lots of things
that fly or crawl or walk. My gang could use more help - some of
them just like to tease and play with them. They are too lazy
    to eat them up!

    Some spiders are poisonous.
