| I don't know if it's the same cat, but there's a sign posted closeby
the Cumberland Farms on Route 27 proclaiming LOST CAT, and when
driving by, the description seems not that dissimilar. If you go
that way, coming from Acton, the sign's just past Concord Street
to the right (_just_ beyond the tip of the triangular island).
The cat sounds like a sweetie.
Good luck to you both.

| If it is their cat, do the cat a big favor and neuter him before
you return him.
Thanks for taking him in.

| Have you checked the local papers for lost ads? (Sounds to me like
you have a new baby.... There are lots of notes in here about
helping the previous feline residents of hte house adjust....)

| rte 27 is too far away from where I found this little sweetie.
And I think this tale has a sad end. Max likes to spend a lot of his
time outside. But the last time he went out, he never came back.
It's been about 4-5 days now. I am sure he didn't get lost, since
he has returned after 2 days. He knows tons of food and hugs are
available at my house. I think he got into trouble. And I fear
it may have something to do with the lake which has been partially
frozen due to the warm weather. I tried to help the cat and
instead, I may have delivered him to a painful death. I guess I can't
help that, though. And I'll probably continue to be unable to turn my
back on a needy animal. Sigh.

| You still deserve thanks for helping as much as you did.
You said he's unneutered. Well, this is mating season and he
may very well be off wandering around doing what whole males
do at this time of the year. I hope that's all it is.
