    A friend wants a Maine Coon...a young cat, but not a tiny
    kitten.  Any color but grey tabby.  MUST HAVE SWEET, AFFECTIONATE
    PURRSONALITY.
    
    no flames please (I have no control of this) but she wants the
    cat to be indoor and outdoor (back porch...but as far as I can
    determine, there is nothing to prevent the cat from jumping/climbing
    down from the 2nd floor porch).
    
    Other than the outdoor issue, I think this would be an excellent
    home with much love from a single professional woman who has had
    cats since childhood.
    
    A small price for the cat is okay, (but she said not $500, etc.)
    which I think is reasonable for an older kitten or young adult.

	Thanks, E.T... do you have a number for him? Who else nearby breeds them? Frank Mecler did some checking for me, but the prices were more than my friend wants to pay, and they were probably all kitten prices anyway. Where does Bob live? (don't have any CATalogues handy)

	Pennie- I met 2 breeders last year and liked what I saw - however I DONT know a whole lot about selecting a pure bred cat, (now if this was horses it would be a different story....)however the cat had a nice purrsonality and the woman was nice and helpful (she spent time explaining about the breed and what to look for ect.). Her name is Heidi Oliveri (617) 884-5162 Her cattery name is `snickets cattery' in chelsea MA. If your friend does some research into this cattery, I'd be interested in hearing what the feelings were about this particular place.
