the only thing I can think of is to see if it's
toxic if the consumer (ie a child) should happen
to eat it or parts of it...

| A lot of health food stores carry cosmetics and various household things
like cleaners, detergents, etc. that haven't been tested on animals.
The labels usually note this, or you might ask the manager.

| re: toy testing on animals - some of the things they do are
things like shooting the animals if various parts with the pellets
or dart things that come with toy guns. Pretty stupid and cruel
if you ask me. Like, we can't figure out that if a kid shoots himself
in the eye with something its going to hurt him. sigh.....

Apparantly TONKA has routinely tested its toy products on animals
as well, but I believe I read recently (you'll want to verify this)
that they have stopped.
