My wife and I are trying to fond a home for a stray cat that has shown up on our doorstep recently. I am allergic to cats, and we also have a new 4month old baby, and a dog, so we are not interested in keeping this cat. It (haven't checked to see if its male or female) has been around for about onw week now. We have brought it into the house for short intervals, and it acts like a cat that is used to being in the house. It made no messes at all, and spent most of the time curled up on one of the kitchen chairs. We have been feeding it, so that it does not starve to death, but its meowing is driving us nuts.. he/she wants to be let in really bad. The cat is black, with some minor hints of gray, and a small white spot on its chest. There are no collars. We live in Gardner and are checking with animal shelters and hospitals to try and find it a decent home. Any and all help from you feliners would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian Bourgeois DTN 262-8394 IND Marlboro MA.

Hey, Bri! How are you? You might want to also post this note in note #415, which is for adoptions. You are so good to take care of a stray, especially in this weather. I'd consider taking it, but we already have one, who is king of the roost. I tried taking in a stray two years ago (tried and tried and TRIED with this animal) and it just did not work out. He terrorized our existing cat unmercifully... Anyway, good luck, and nice "talking" to you in this file. Debby Watson | |||||

Hi Deb, I'm fine.. Unfortunetly we were unable to keep the cat, so for now we have brought her to Richards Kennels in Leominster, as they do take in stray's. We gladly paid the $15 dollar "donation" and also lef the almost full box of Purina Plus cat food we bought her (Who said I don't like cats.. don't say anything but it was kinda cute and would have been very easy to get attached to.) I needed to update this note to let people know where the cat is if they want it, but I am not sure how long Richards holds on to strays before putting them down. Please help me spread the word about her location. Thanks Brian B. |
