3223.0. "LOST DOG "CLEO"" by ROLL::GALLAGHER () Tue Jan 09 1990 15:47

To all you feline lovers and i am one myself have you seen a lost
dog? Cleo is her name she is a spade female shorthair redish brown
color with black markings around the eyes and face and semi long
ears. She stands about 3'-4' tall and weighs in at 60 lbs. She
also has a small soft lump on her tummy along with a 2" scar. Cleo
has been missing since 1/5/90 morning and was only wearing a flea
collar. She lives in Shrewsbury in the Fairlawn area where she is
pretty familiar with the streets. She is lost or stolen and if she
is found would someone be so kind as to hold onto her and call me.
I will also be giving a reward to anyone who finds her for me. I miss
my 3 1/2 year old best friend very much and want her to come home.
Send any information about CLEO to ROLL::RHODENIZER or call me at
    work 225-4541 or after 5:00 p.m. 7555352.

Make sure you check the following:
All pounds in the area. Dogs & cats can roam for miles.
    All shelters in the area.
Contact all the animal control officers in yours & neighboring
    towns.
The local police stations. Some people do call the police about
    stray dogs.
Put an ad in the local newspaper.

Hope this helps, hope Cleo comes home.

3223.4kids, kids, tell themWILKIE::IVESThu Jan 11 1990 16:4512
Talk with all the kids in the neighborhood. Those little rascals
know everything that goes on and who owns what kind of pets.

(When Mocha [cat] first came to us and we took him in, after a couple
of days he got out and was gone for 3 days. I talked with all the
kids and sure enough, one came running to my door to tell me they
saw Mocha and the other kids were staying there keeping and eye
    on him.)

I sure hope we have good news on Cleo soon.

I agree with .4....kids are a good source of information on what's
happening in the neighborhood. A number of years ago, one of my
cat's (Clancy - now in kitty spirit) managed to get out of the house.
He was an indoor only cat. He was gone for a full week. My ex
asked the kids in the neighborhood about him and sure enough, one
of them knew some people who had him. When we went to get him,
he was comfortably curled up in a chair. I hope you are able to
    find Cleo.

I also agree with .4 Many years ago when Kathryn got out on us
from a friend's house, it was the kids who told the folks who took
her in that we were looking for her. God bless 'em.
