| Kim and Catnip,
That was a real nice story. Let's hope this starts the week out with
all good stories - we could use a good week for a change.
Merry Christmas all you furfaces out there! (oh, and you humans, too)

Merry Christmas to YOU!
Love to hear Heart-Warming stories of ANY animal. My heart goes out to
them all.
I'm keeping my strays in our neighborhood here, in Berlin,MA from the
cold as much as possible. We are experiencing the COLDEST December in
all of MASS. history. (Boston area). I have an old dog house with Hay
and Blankets and a box with hay in it. Seems to be working O.K. will
have to replay the box soon.
Thank you for the nice note!

| Things got sort of reversed in my situation ...and one of my critters
decided to help me out. ...Must have taken pity on my having to trudge
through the early morning darkness to carry water and hay to my
miniature horses ...and haul the manure away in a sled. (People
who know me don't waste their time feeling sorry for me ..because
they know I love it!)
Anyway, the other day I was in a particular hurry to finish my chores
as the wind was fierce and my hands ..which had accidentally gotten
soaked in one of the water buckets ..were literally freezing. Trapper,
short for Better Mousetrap, usually 'helps' me by grabbing the rope
on the front of the sled in his teeth and running away up the paddock
with a load of manure flying behind him. On this particular day he gave
me a break and left the sled in place until I was finished cleaning
the stalls. As I reached for a hammer to start chipping ice out
of his frozen water bucket ..I looked up and there was Trapper ..with
the hammer in his mouth looking for all the world as if he had intended
to pass it to me to help me out. I thanked him kindly ..and he looked
very pleased with himself. It's the funny little moments like that
that stand out in my mind when I think of my fur-family. I wouldn't
miss them for anything.
...and of course, the feline members of the family were only too
glad to stretch and yawn as I hurried back into the warm house.
..showing me that they know how to live 'the good life'. None of
that snow and ice stuff for them!
Linda ...whose day was brighter for having read the story of the
thoughtful friend in the base note... :^)

| As you know, Robin was a feral baby who has taken up residence in my house and
in my heart. Last night, I returned home from a 4-day business trip and I was
totally exhausted. The wind outside was blowing and it was incredibly cold.
Just after I got settled in bed, I heard a little meow and it was Robin, who
for the first time came into bed with me. She snuggled up inside my arm,
wrapped a paw around my neck, gave me a quick lick on the cheek, and purred
me to sleep.
You know, I think she's gonna be OK.

| Mary, if she lives with you, yes, she will be fine! She sounds
like a sweetie. Cats know who love them, they really do.

p.s. I really love your baby names
