3124.0. "Looking for a Vet in Nashua" by BRAT::JOSEPHSON () Mon Dec 11 1989 08:15

    I've recently made the difficult decision to look for a new
    veterinarian for my cats. Because of the way the recent death
    of my gray tabby Aime was handled, I do not feel I can return to
    this veterinarian.

    I would appreciate recommendations from my fellow cat-lovers and
    experts on good veterinarians in the Nashua NH area. Ideally,
    a veterinarian that specializes in felines would be great.

    I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

    	Nancy,

    	I don't know who you use right now but I can recommend
    	Dr. Eric Clough at the Merrimack Veterinary Hospital.
    	He's been absolutely wonderful with Duke and everyone
    	there is very nice and loves the animals.
    	I believe their number is 424-9922.

3124.2Dr.Kaas/Ferry Rd AIMHI::SJOHNSONMon Dec 11 1989 09:349
    I would have to recommend Dr.Kaas at Ferry Rd Animal Hospital next to
    the Nashua Humane Society. His phone # is 882-0087. I don't
    personally go there as I use Daniel Webster in Bedford, but have heard
    real good things about him and he loves cats. He was the guy I wrote
    about in a previous note that couldn't put a cat down (for reason that
    the owner wanted to because he had an inner ear infection).

    Good luck!
    Sonia
3124.3Recommend for Dr. KaasFREKE::WARDJust pay me in CHOCOLATEMon Dec 11 1989 10:5810
    I have used Dr. Kaas for the last 2 1/2 years and have been very
    happy with him. When I took Trouble in about a year ago because
    she was "missing jumps", he took quite a bit of time trying to figure
    out what was wrong, and didn't think I was foolish for bringing
    her in even though he could not find anything. (She was fine a
    couple of days later). I have also felt very good about his associate,
    Dr. Becky Porter, who has also dealt with all three cats.

3124.4Amherst Vet Hosp.WILKIE::IVESMon Dec 11 1989 11:0021
    We take our cats to Amhert Animal Hospital on route 101-A west.
    It is a clinic and there are 5 doctors. If you have a preference
    just ask for that one doctor and no problem. Dr John Gleason heads
    the practice.

    The waiting room is so that the main desk where you check in, is
    in the middle and the dog waiting area is to the left with dog
    pictures on the walls and the cat waiting area is to the right
    with cat pictures on the wall there.

    Someone bought in a litter of kittens to put to sleep and Dr Gleanson
    wouldn't do it, but found homes for them, even taking on for himself.
    When you hear him talk about it, you would think it was a champion
    and had won best in show at Madison Square garden.

    Nice people, and very understanding. I do think, like other things
    in this world, no one can please everyone.

    Their telephone number is 889-5442

    You can also try Countryside Animal Hospital in Hudson. The doctors
    there are very good, especially Dr. Brody. A number of the breeders in
    the area rely on him. His number is 889-6269 and he has a clinic in
    Litchfield, 429-2519.
3124.6We also use Amherst and are pleased with them.HABS11::MASONExplaining is not understandingMon Dec 11 1989 12:061
