| | Lisa,

Do you think you may be in town over the December 2 & 3rd weekend???
There is a cat show in Haverhill MA, which is maybe 1/2 an hour from
the ZKO area on that weekend. I know there will be several of us
    Feliners there.

I'll even let you cuddle my cat!!!

cin...who will be bringing Cookie and the Silver Tabby LH Exotic!

| | How about a get-together at a local restaurant one evening? I enjoyed
meeting some of the feliners at the Nashua show, and would love to meet
more... Kitty pictures could be shown... How about it?

Is there some place with a buffet, perhaps, in the Nashua area? Lisa,
do you have any special preferences??

I think monday through wednesday, but am not sure. They serve
pretty good Chinese food. I'd love to join you guys, since I
work at ZK. The only night I have free is monday or friday. I
could bring pics of Tristan, Tenzing and Max...

problem - I will still be tired from travelling on Monday night! I
fell asleep in a restaurant last time I was in Nashua the day after
I landed!! Very embarrassing!!!! Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday?
Anyone else out there want to come?

    ZKO please enter the directions?

| | OK, when you leave ZKO, turn left onto Spit Brook Road. Go straight
thru two sets of lights, under the highway overpass, thru several more
sets of lights (staying in the left lane). At the bottom of the hill,
you'll reach the intersection of the Daniel Webster Highway (also known
as the DW Highway). At that light, turn left. Follow this road thru
another set of lights and just ahead, you'll see a sign for Ming Garden
on your left. Mind the traffic; turning left can be quite an
    adventure!

| 3073.21 | Some rough directions, and another attendee | GENIE::KRINER | tanstaafl | Mon Nov 27 1989 14:19 | 29 |
| | Hi,
This sounds great! I'll finally get a chance to meet some more feliners.
First, some directions. I've been to Ming Gardens once, about two months ago,
so my memory shouldn't be too rusty.
	From the South (i.e. Mass.):
Take Rte 3 North into NH, to exit 1 "Spit Brook Road", and turn
	right onto Spit Brook.
(**) I don't remember exactly how many traffic lights to go, but
I'm pretty sure it's 3 lights, at any rate, it's the street PAST
the Royal Ridge Mall (on the left), you want to turn left onto the
Daniel Webster Highway (aka Route 3, sorry, but Rte 3 does some
weird things!). Go about 1/4 mile (that's about .4 km), Ming Gardens
is on your left, next to a Pizza Hut.
	From the North:
Take Rte 3 South to exit 1, and turn left onto Spit Brook.
	Proceed from "**" above.
	From ZKO:
When you leave ZKO, turn left (East) onto Spit brook. Go past
the freeway, and proceed from "**" above.
I'll see you all there.
Paul
P.S. I could use a catfix too, since I only get to see mine on weekends.

I'll book the table when I get a head count from y'all...

| | Mary, my group was just lunching at the Ming last week. A farwell
dinner for one of our writers, and when we got there, they had us

about 8 people. I don't know if they have larger tables, but maybe
they can put 2 round ones together, else folks will have to shout !

from the "kitchne share" and scare them.. it did not waork.. Pookie
did not even Flich.. she just sauntered on by.. put her mousies down..
sat on them.. and then let Happy know in no uncertain terms, how she
felt about the "assault".. Ah YES.. Regal is as Regal does..

| | Hi everyone. Last night at Ming Gardens was a blast. We all got
to meet faces that we only knew as node names before. There was
much passing of pictures, and OOHing and AAHing, and a good time
        was had by all.

We represented some widely scattered feliners, too. Jack and
Nancy live in Braintree (I think), which is probably 60 miles from
where we met. I live in the Albany, NY area (well, on weekends
when I go home), Dian is from Southern California, and Lisa is
        from Reading, in England.

Incidentally, the seating was quite cosy. The round tables that
are meant to hold 8 to 10 people held all 13 of us.

        Let's do it again sometime!

| | Well, as much fun as it was.....and it was wonderful to meet youse
guys and see the fur-faces I hear so much about....I'm OUTA HERE
tomorrow morning!!! This weather is NOT my cup (as they say). Besides,
my roomie called and said Hannah was a total brat all week - she's
been opening the pantry and pushing all the cans off the shelves...
and poor old Nick is getting bonked on the head any time he passes...I
think I'm in for it next week.
Love to all the furry ones,
				California, here I come.....

| | Me too, I really enjoyed our dinner at Ming Gardens and hope we
do it again next month. I took pictures and as soon as I finish
the roll will get them developed.
I have pictures from the Marlboro show: Nancy Diettrich-Cunniff
with Dundee (Scottish Fold), Linda Sobek with Magic (Birmin), and
Penny Green with Blue Hope & Little One (Russian Blues). Some of
these pics came out rather well. I will send copies off to each
of you who were so kind to face the flash.

| | Julie,

Could you send pics to some of us that didn't attend?? I haven't
seen a picture of Magic since I sent her home with Linda!! She
has promised me one or two though. I would love to see pics of
Pennie and her Russians and Nancy and Dundee too.

| | I am at home - BLISS! A cat on each knee, an open fire, a LARGE gin and
tonic - heaven!! Just thought I'd let you know, I went to Quincy market
in Boston. There is a shop there called 'Cat Country'. You can buy
all sorts of things with cats on them. I got a cat souvenir from
Boston - a bag of kittie treats for Percy and Pookie. Pookie loves
the treats, but Percy thinks that they are worm pills and runs a mile
every time I get them out! Oh well ... I tried!!

    See you all again soon!!

    Lisa.

| | Jo,
I will send my second copies to Linda, Penny and Nancy. Now
unless they complain (and how could they) I will be glad to make
copies for all who want them. If it gets too expensive, I will
just ask for the cost of the reprints which are 45 each.
3 of Magic: Two of Linda holding Magic and one of Magic in
		       her cage.
1 of Dundee: Nancy holding Dundee. Nancy has a big
smile, Dundee wants back into the cage.
    2 of Penny's:   One of Penny hiding behind ribbons;
One of Blue Hope and Little One in the cage --
very good of these Russian Blues.

    Anyone else want copies?
