| I think there must be a klutz gene and Flame has it too!
Now you realize, that that head high pose was the "I meant to do
that" look.

| Both of my cats sleep on the top of the cable box which is on top of
the tv. About once every other month or so - one of them will roll off
in their sleep. I get such a kick out of that " I meant to do that"
look on their faces!

| Poor little Sweetie!! She certainly isn't the brightest bulb in the
string, but that little face is something else!
Jeanne, does she still like to sleep under things and behind things??
When she was a baby, her favourite sleeping place was behind the books
on a bookshelf. She also liked to be under the covers with her sister,
Julie.
Someone once told me that cats with fluffy tails have to put so much
energy into growing those beautiful tails that their brains don't have
time to develop...maybe that's it!

I know what you mean about that "I Meant to do that!" look. Spot
has such big feet that sometimes she can't keep track of all of
them and ends up triping over them, especially when chasing Panther
up the stairs!
Not graceful but certainly beautiful!

I've got two with fluffy tails and the dim lightbulbs at times. There
must be a correlation!!
The one with the biggest tail is the slowest - has trouble figuring out
that screen doors aren't meant for charging through. He does amble off
with that 'boy was that fun' look on his face while we are laughing.
The less fluffy one has the smarts, he waits to see what happens to
his brother first!

I'll certainly agree with that!
Bandit has a gorgeous tail and cute little bloomers too. He
also has a rather small head (literally!). My mother pointed
it out but his head is not proportional with his body, hence,
the nick name Pin Head. He is rather stupid and clumsy too
but absolutely the most adorable kitty!
T.K. is a very streamlined cat, sleek and graceful. He is
short hair but on occassion, I have seen him slip and fall
and he too gets that look "I meant to do that".
Cats are so funny!

| Well, there you go! Celeste and Karen are right!! Little Chauncey,
who has tail fur six inches long, will sit and get smacked in the head
when you toss toys to him. Julie, whose fur is 1/4 inch long, figured
out how to open the storm door last night...

| Flame doesn't know enough to get upset when one of the others
has a hissy-fit. Its usually Mao who still occasionally sleeps
on top of the fridge and if she happens across Flame she gets
all bent-out-of-shape. Flame just looks at her and say "huh??"

Nancy, does Flame have tabby genes? My three siamese all have
"hissy-fights" from time to time, but if they try and pick one
with the tabbies, the tabbies just walk away. They don't care!
And if the siamese persist, the tabbies calmly wap them in the
face and keep walking! It's real funny to watch! Almost as
good as a siamese huff! ;-) ;-)

| Have to disagree with you I breed fluffy's and am convinced they
are brighter than my siamese. My Chinchilla was spotted trying to
take the screws out of the back of the microwave when the rabbit
was cooking in it.The red colourpoint removed the electronics from
the new cooker (the knobs were child proof) We have child locks
on cupboards and fridges etc. Rory again the red colourpoint opens
all packets to see what is in them. I can never get the wretched
things open.Tupperware in Flitwick in Bedfordshire sells tupperware
as Peebles proof. My seal colourpoint who unfortunately died two
years ago could not open that so she used to boot it round the kitchen.
She once lined up a litter of siamese kittens and got them to jump
one after the other until the larder door opened. She was pregnant
at the time.If I was sitting down sunbathing she would knock on
the window for me to come in and change the litter tray if one of
the other cats used it.
One of our chinchillas did use the toilet to wet into but she prefered
the litter tray for the other. The only trouble was she would come
and collect us to pull the chain and if we had vistors and had to
excuse our selves they thought we were loony. You can't win.

| Flame is a red tabby with beautiful orange eyes. Not the brightest
cat I've every had but certainly one of the most delightful. Now
Dundee is also a tabby - brown tabby & white - and there's no flies
on that guy! He's a clever and saucy little guy! I caught him
confronting Jesse several times and Jesse is 2.5 times Dundee's
size and weight!

actually - Dundee can get away with bapping Jesse on the head because
with those ears, he always looks angry. (See, Jesse's only got one
folded ear, so he's half as angry as Dundee)

i agree about the "siamese huff". no one was better than drawing
herself up, raising her tail in the air, giving me a haughty look with
those deep blue eyez, and walking off in a "siamese huff" than my dear
cissy, my little sealpoint who died 2 yearz ago.
both stella and stanley are half siamese and have the traditional long,
tapered tail. and they are both fiendishly clever--esp. stella--in
getting what they want. maybe there is a correlation 'twixt tail width
and smartz, after all!

| Our newest, Cassandra(the flea) is fascinated watching the toilet
flush. The other day she was sitting on the edge of the toilet(lid up)
watching me squeegie the shower door after my shower, when all of a
sudden, I hear this great splash. When I opened the shower door, here
was Cassandra sitting on the bathroom carpet scrubbing away like mad
and all around the toilet area was water. Looked like someone threw
a full scrub bucket at the toilet. Hasn't lessened her interest in
watching the toilet flush.
