Yesterday I got a letter from the Hamilton collection people as I
have been collecting their oriental collection. Now they are adding to
their feline collection. The plate that they have has 4 kittens in a
bathroom scene. One is looking at its reflection. One is trying to
get up on the sink and another is hanging over trying to "protect "
its territory. The mother is asleep on a dressing table looking like
she had had a hard day's work chasing the little fellows around.
All are grey tabbies.
The name of the collection is the "Country Kitties" plate collection.
This plate is titled "Mischief Makers". The plate is 8 1/2 " with a
gilt border. The artist is Gr� Gerardi. The cost is $24.50 + $2.50
handling. The previous plate was issued in 1979. They are issued at
irregular intervals. Sometimes one or two a year and sometimes they
skip.

I have seen a picture of the plate and I do like my oriental collection
with the birds presented in typical Japanese style.

I've seen that plate too. I'm currently collecting their carousel
animals. The plate is soooo cute. Now if I just had a big enough
house for all this stuff.

If I collected all that I WANT to collect, it would not be termed a
house ... mansion, yes .... house, no.
Its as bad as if I had tried to keep every book I liked. Thank God
for public libraries or I would have declared personal bankrupcy
long ago.
I hear you loud and clear. That is why I posted the note, since I
just cannot be in on this particular one.

Cathy,
I'm currently receiving the "Country Kittens" collection. I already
have the plate you described, the second plate which is more of a
kitchen scene, and am waiting for the third plate now. The collection
is a gift from my hubby...it's been a neat birthday present, since I
will be continuing to get them.
They are really nice plates.
