| Silvery slimey stuff ???
How about a few more details? How old is the cat/kitten?
Does the SSS look like worms? Has the cat been wormed?
Has the cat been vomiting? Or does he/she have hairballs?
Is the cat old enough to be a spay or a neuter?
I guess I have never seen a 'snails trail', but sure would
like to know what that is !!

| the closest I have seen my cats do which is similar is when
they get into something that smells good but tastes awful.
they spit it out and leave trails of spit sometimes mixed
with whatever they got into. Misha's trail was purple - she
got into a glass of grapejuice and hated it.
could your cat be nibbling on something that would look
silvery?

| In our house it is worm trails - Tarot just can't resist bringing
them in.
Don't read next bit if you're having your lunch..
Letting them crawl around on the carpet for a while and then EATING
them - yuk!
Before anyone starts flaming me - he is very, very well fed - he
just feels he has a deficiency of worms in his diet:-)

| re: .5 Hey listen - my guys catch moths, dragon-flies, flies, crickets
and grasshoppers, either while out on their leashes or on the deck.
They they bring them down to the livingroom, yodeling all the way,
and procede to play with them, then eat them (crunch!!) in front
of us... "Look mommy and daddy what a good hunter I am!" (blech!)

Who needs bug killer, etc. when you've got kitties? My two are
the official bug killing/consuming kitties of the house!
Yum yum. Maybe it gives them extra protein?

| Reminds me of Dinky, she was our official "Fly Patrol", which
actually included any flying bugs. If she spotted a fly, she
would stalk the unsuspecting insect, while making this stuttering
sort of meow "Ma' a' a' a'". Her head would swivel in ways I
couldn't believe a head would swivel. Then, things would get
quiet...there she was, crouching in the middle of the floor,
not moving a muscle, glaring at the fly on the ceiling...we,
never actually saw her catch any of the flies, but there was
always a damp spot on the wall or ceiling where the fly WAS,
and Dinky would smile, lick her chops, and look around for
more!
How DID she get those flies from the ceiling????

I don't know what Tarot thinks he is, but whatever it is, its mean
(when it can hide behind me), playful (especially when you're trying
to sleep), painful (when playing gets out of hand and the claws
emerge), loving (at 8:45 when I'm late for work)..
and totally delightful.

| Tsunami takes care of all the "big" bugs in my apartment, but the other
day we had some intruders that she could only warn me of . . . ANTS!
She just sat there looking and M.a.a.a.ing as if to say "Hey mom! I can't
get ALL of those!" They were invading her dish and she definately looked
confused. One spray of RAID ended that intrusion, but Nami stood guard
for hours afterward.
