I love it!!!!!!! Picture that generated in my head, from cats pasting
the stamp to Ed awarding the dollars is a riot. What a comic strip
that would make.

| If your cats win, do they get to go on *national* TV with Ed to
tell all the other household pets across the country that they too
can be millionaires?

| Ken and I found the whole thing to be hilarious! The letter that
was enclosed kept adressing "The Birmans", and such. It was urging
them to act now, not to delay! We think we may have to frame one
of the letters.
Can't think of which mailing list they got the addresses off of.
I have business cards that list the P.O. box, but the home address????
It is truly a mystery.
But, I can tell you one thing, one way or another those entries
will get sent in. I may have to help them sort out where to put
all those little stickers.
I can't wait to see Ed's face when he awards The Birmans ten million
dollars!!

| Along the same lines, I saw a bit on the NBC Saturday night news about
a woman somewhere in the U.S. that had sent of $25.00 and made her
little calico kitten a minister of some church. It was so funny; she
had a clerical collar on the kitten and the kitten was rolling around
playing with her toys and purring away. I couldn't stop laughing!
It's amazing what $25 can buy these days....
Good luck to Kalliste and Joui Birman!!

2723.6 | Becky's mail | SQUEKE::WARD | Just pay me in CHOCOLATE | Mon Jul 31 1989 17:42 | 14 |
| This is hilerious. Randy, my hubby, wanted to see just how far a
mailing list would go, so Becky got a subscription to Reader's Digest.
She has had all kinds of mail, from the sweepstakes to an offer
of a credit card (which we did not give her) to some financial company
offering advice on how to handle her millions she is going to win.
Now Becky is only five months old. Isn't there a law about you
have to be at least 18 to claim these prizes?
At least Becky has a "real people" name, not like your cattery Jo.
It would be interesting, to say the least, if your cats won a bunch
of money.

Hmmm.. According to the law, all you need is 2 "followers" to legally
found a religious organization (i.e., get the tax exempt status),
and Pip is definitely the head pussycat with 6 feline following
her. Of course, I'd feel a little foolish calling her "Father",
but if it would lower my taxes .....

| Well, Jon made Erick T. Blue (a blue Birman) president of Hand Crafted
Software some years ago. Jon just writes the programs, Erick takes care
of the hard stuff. (Jon sometimes impersonates Erick to go to trade
shows, but it's only because Erick is sooooo busy, what with napping
and shedding and keeping Zorro in his place and all that managerial stuff.)
Now not only does Erick get mail all the time, but since he's a
corporate officer he gets better offers than we do sometimes. We get 3
copies of lots of catalogs. He gets several credit card offers a month,
including one for the American Express Corporate card, which we may get
since it only asks for the signature of the person responsible for the
bills. He just got a sale flier from a bike shop.(I'd love to see Erick
on a bike.)
And somehow when we moved 2 years ago, all the places were able to get
his new correct address, even though we didn't fill out any change of
address cards. We've even started getting mail for Mrs. Erick T. Blue.
Who? I think he's been fooling around behind our backs (especially
since he's an it).

2723.10 | Why not a Wife? | SAGE::ZAMZOW | | Wed Aug 02 1989 14:03 | 21 |
| Volunteer wife!
Panther, (who is most definately a Yuppie cat)would like to volunteer
to be the wife of Mr. Eric T. Blue. She would love to be the wife
of any cat that has an American Express Card, (It is a Gold Card
isn't it?)
Just to give you a little background, this is the cat that throws
parties when Mummie and Daddie are not at home. She lends a Limo
to collect her out of town friends and calls the Nashua fish market
to deliver Salmon and Cavier. She sends the bill to me of course
(sigh)
So if Erick needs a wife that will live up to his life style, Panther
is your girl!!! Sorry, Children are out of the question, unless
or course Erick is willing to adopt. :*}

| Erik could have his pick of wives at our house, many who look alot
like him. But, Joui will only be his if the AMEX is platinum.
Laci could care less, she just wants a cat that knows how to have
a good time!! ;^)
