2720.0. "Young almost-Siamese needs home ASAP" by MEMV01::CARMISCIANO () Sat Jul 29 1989 07:31

Nice kitty needs home ASAP - Located in Maynard, MA

      Male kitten - Smokey
      3 mos. old
Siamese and something else, maybe tabby. Looks totally siamese
at first glance, but then you can see a slight stripe pattern
      in his legs etc.
Light Beige and dark brown points.
      Medium length hair.
Does not have the typical siamese "cry" (yet anyway..)
Has had 2 of the 3 kitten shots needed. Is not spayed, too young.

I got this kitty at 6 weeks, it was in a Pet store, (food only,
not one that sells animals) a lady had dropped off him and his
brother in hopes of finding homes.

I already have a cat, Sassy, a spayed female, who rules the roost
over here, and they are just not working out. In short, Sassy
hates Smokey. They fight all the time, and Sassy is coming home
less frequently. I'm afraid she will run away. I've had her for
     2 years.

Smokey is a nice kitty that needs a loving home. He is completely
litter trained, has never had an accident. He loves to go out,
I live in a deserted neighborhood and my other cat was a stray
street cat so she is always outside - she lived out there alone
for so long. So, Smokey always wants to accompany her. I try to
keep him in, but he goes out alot during the day.

Please send mail to MEMCL1::CARMISCIANO, call Gail at DTN 232-2299,
or home phone 508-897-1242. I really need to get a home for Smokey
    right away.

2720.1NRADM::CONGERWhat's ONE more cat????Mon Jul 31 1989 09:1711

I'm sure everyone's going to tell you to give it
more time...I've been through a lot of additions
and foster cats, and it can take up to six months,
maybe more, for them to get along well. Do you really
    	want to give him up??

ps - find a cat book, he sounds like a Javanese...

Sounds like he might be a "lynx point" if I understand the
    definition correctly.
I agree with Sherry. My vet commented to me once that three
months is not a long time for cats that are adjusting to each
    other.

If longhaired, then he could be considered Javanese.
If shorthaired, then a lynx point Oriental Shorthair is what you
    could call him.

    Good Luck
