who was going to steal her breath while she slept. I think the title
was Cats Eye.

Born Free

There was a film with Tony Randall (?), Katherine Hepburn, Rock
Hudson and a tame, pet lion named Baby. And the title is...???
Then there's the film that spawned the series by the same name,
Daktari. Featuring Clarence the cross-eyed lion.

RE .4: Sounds like "Bringing Up Baby"
RE .3:
Cat's Eye is a film based on 3 Stephen King short stories ("Quitters
Inc", the first, was the only one I remember the title of). They're
not really connected; the cat is used to tie them together, and I
think it works quite well. In the first two stories, the cat isn't
really central (the animal in QI was a rabbit), but it's nicely
integrated. In the third story, the cat is definitely central, and
very good. Well trained cat, great story. This movie leaves you
believing that cats know where they're supposed to be, and choose
their own people.
There are a few moderately unpleasant parts, but I liked it anyway
(I'm no fan of horror; well-done suspense is okay, though, and
that's how I'd classify this).

re 4.: TONY RANDALL! please - it was Cary Grant
The was also a film about a cat that inherited a fortune and it
would talk (when it felt like it). It was kidnapped so it couldn't
inherit and was rescued by the family who lived in the "gatehouse"
of the mansion etc. Something on the theme of "The Richest Cat
in the World" stuff.
The was also a horror film with cats (I think 3 separate vignettes).
One was these people were supposed to be looking after this cat,
but they locked it way. He/She called her/his buddies, and they
chased these people into a small room and all you could here were
the screams of the woman and cats. (I wouldn't let my cats watch
this, they might have thought about it too much ......).
It was very pro-feline - the people in all three films were not
very nice.
Of course there was Cat People. Not very positive or "nice".

| There was also the 1951 film, _Rhubarb_, based on the H. Allen Smith
book of the same name (rather loosely based, I'll add). Starred
Ray Milland and June Lockhart. And the cat, Rhubarb, who inherits
a baseball team. Not bad, as I recall/
The cat's great.

country. Of course there was "Jones" in Alien
