| I don't think we ever said it was easy - just incredibly rewarding!
They sound beautiful. When you get some pictures, i'd love to
see them.

| Oh, my favorite -- a white cat with blue eyes!! How I envy you. Good
luck and enjoy.

| Be prepared to have every vet greet you and your blue-eyed cat with the
words "is he/she deaf"? I have one of them and he isn't deaf but it is
the question I am asked whenever I see a new vet (because we moved or
during an emergency or whatever). By the way, is your cat deaf?

| Jan,
Tati's eyes are blue on the outside and green on the inside rather than
all blue. So far no one has asked if she is deaf and by the way she is
not. She went for her first checkup yesterday and everything is fine,
except that she has some ear mites. It hasn't been "too fun" to put
some medicine in her ears but we are managing.

I know what you mean about ear mite medication! My 7 week old kitten has them
and absolutely HATES getting the medication put in her ears. She also has
quite a temper so every night she has a screaming fit - I'm sure our neighbors
think that we are torturing her - not to mention that my other cat just runs
and hides when Gummi screams. What a set of lungs!

2490.6 | Treat them both! | IAMOK::GERRY | Home is where the Cat is | Tue Jun 06 1989 09:37 | 9 |
| Just a word of warning....if your treating one kitten for ear mites,
and that kitten has been exposed to the other one, you should treat
both kittens. Ear Mites are highly contagious and spread from one
cat to another very quickly. You don't want the hassle of getting
rid of them on one kitten only to have them show up on the other.
Good Luck
