2473.0. "Vinnie- The FAHS Cat of the Month" by STOR06::DALEY () Tue May 16 1989 11:29

The Framingham Humane Newsletter had a picture of its
Cat of the Month-- Vinnie. Vinnie seems wonderful and if I
didn't already have 6 cats, at least one with FeLV+, (and am a
renter) he would be living at my house. Vinnie is a large orange
neutered male, who seemed to have had a rather hard time getting along with
his cage mates- he kept intimidating them. He was found as a stray,
and has one ear missing from outside bouts, but really likes to be
made over by humans. Anyway, it seems that the society
had some kittens, and ran out of cage space, so they took a
chance and placed two of them with Vinnie. Well, he found his
niche in life- he's a babysitter!!! Loves kittens. He lets them
climb on his face and all over his body; he grooms them; and they
sleep in a heap. Well, those kittens were adopted, but Vinnie wasn't.
In came a new batch of kittens and Vinnie became their babysitter
too. Vinnie is still at the shelter, still the shelter babysitter,
and still waiting for a home of his own. If anyone is interest in
Vinnie he is at the Framingham Humane Society Shelter.

I met Vinny! He's great. Isn't he more cream or buff colored
than orange? (my memory isn't great) His "missing" ear looked
like it was folded in or something. Funny looking...(but I love
folds so who am I to talk!)
I got such a kick out of watching this big old Tom nuzzling the
    kittens. What a great cat!
      Thanks for posting that note.
