2290.0. "A sad story" by GIAMEM::FINANCE () Mon Mar 13 1989 12:45

This is killing me to write....everytime I think of it I cry...I
    have been crying all weekend.

Friday night a few friends and I were going out on our way to where
we were going I we saw a beautiful Grey and white cat in the middle
of the road. We turned around and I grabbed a towel (I had worked
out Friday so I had a towel with me) and went and wrapped him in
a towel (I beleive it was a he) and brought him to someones frony
yard (home I hope) and I continued to stay with him for a while
and pet him (I wanted him to know that someone was with him that
cared in the end). I cried so hard and I just could not stop, we
arrived at out destination and I ran to the ladies room to try and
make myself presentable. In the ladies room I encountered two people
that could not for the life of him understand why I was crying over
    a cat! Urge to kill.

I founf this cat on Lincoln Street in Marlboro... He was a large
gray and white kitty. If this is someone cat in this file or if
you might no of anyone, please tell them. Also, please let them
know that someone that cared was there.

Now I have to go to the ladies room and wipe the tears away.

    Oh that sounds awful.

I hope this isn't all from the same nasty home.

The other day I found a black and white male on Lincoln Street also.
Not the place were you let your cat roam around I wouldn't even
think of it! I took him home (very nice animal in the the car)
and fed him, he slept for about five hours. I had to let him out
cause he wasn't fixed and this was before mumma kitty was fixed.
He never came back. He was def. a stray though, smelled as though
he was sleeping under cars, etc. and skinny.

It would make me sick if someone was living on that road and just
letting their cats out like that!

    The urge to kill! 8*(

Are you saying that in the end, the cat passed away? You are a
saint for stopping to help. He probably was a stray. I know Lincoln
street and it is a heavily traveled area.

It was dark so I am not sure if he was grey or black, through the
    tears he looked black.

I know one thing he was a very big kitty.

And yes, he did pass away.

    Grrrr....

the one I found was long haired, black and white, like your typical,
white on the belly, a little on the face, and possibly say one or
    two white paws.

I found him in the Big D parking lot! Not the place your typical
loving home cat would hang out. He had lots of hair, but when you
picked him up, you could feel how skinny he was.

I'd say this was like a month ago, and you could tell he wasn't
fully grown quite yet. He could have grown alot.

So Sad! I hope it wasn't the same kitty, but I just couldn't keep
    him inside.
