    Not exactly FELINE but anyway...
    As a member of the International Fund for Animal Welfare I received
    a letter about ending the seal cull. It read as follows;
    
    "In 1983 European Community banned importation of baby seal
    skins...cruel hunt for these animals greatly reduced. Hundreds of
    thousands of whitecoats saved. Ban ends this year...debate on renewal
    taking place now... unexpected opposition to unqualified extension...
    I must prove people still care.
    "URGENT... write to Mr. Carlo Ripa di Meana, Commisioner for the
    Environment, Commision of the European Communities, 200 Rue de la
    Loi, Brussels B-1049, Belgium. Tell him `I STRONGLY SUPPORT AN
    INDEFINITE EXTENSION OF THE COMMUNITY BAN  ON BABY SEAL IMPORTS'.
    Letters must go first class and very, very soon. Please make extra
    effort, ask friends and relatives to write too. Just a note will
    save lives of baby seals."
    
    I'm writing this because, although it's not really feline, I thought
    you, being animal lovers, might like to help.
