I agree with what Karen said. It is here because Katie has
been a part of this notesfile and needed some help, so she
went to the people she knows and with whom she feels
comfortable.
I wish I could offer some info on sponsorship tho.

| Perhaps the local U.S. embassy could tell you what is involved in
being a sponsor, and you could post the info here.

| You're right as to why its here - perhaps when it stops getting
entries the mods would delete it.
I've asked my sister to contact the US Embassy and find out what
is involved. Once we have the info I'll post it.

| While the base note might have been deleted or returned to the author
in some other conferences, please rest assured that the moderators of
this conference have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of deleting this note. I
think that Karen Kolling summed up the reason quite well in .3.
When you find out what would be required for sponsorship, please feel
free to post as a reply to this note.

| I'm glad that Kate has gone to her `friends' for help. I would
also try to cover all bases too.
I don't know anything about sponsorships but there is a college
notesfile in this conference. Maybe you can find something there
that will help you.

| Latest bulletin from my sister is that the university may be able
to help. They may be able to sort out some kind of "exchange" scheme
whereby they give accomodation to a US student during the summer
and she gets sponsorship over there.
She's very touched by and grateful for your help and so am I. This
conference really brings out the wonderful traits that you Americans
have (particularly cat lovers :-)
Thanks guys - I think we'll be OK - I'll post it as soon as I know
more.
