2170.0. ""cure" for cat clobbers bed." by CIRCUS::KOLLING (Karen, Sweetie, & Holly; in Calif.) Sun Jan 22 1989 21:00
Holly has a litter box problem, and occasionally she clobbers the
bed. I've done all the usual things, extra litter boxes, boxes
lined with newspaper, check by vet, boxes all over the house, the
conclusion is, she just does this every once and awhile and no one
knows why. Well, just about everything is cleanupable, but the
bed is a real problem, even with Nature's Miracle. From time to
time other people have entered notes about a cat going on the bed,
so I thought I'd write up a solution I found. A company called
The Vermont Country Store (802)362-2400 sells a mattress pad with
an inner layer of vinyl. I've tried vinyl mattress pads before,
but I never could tolerate the vinyl smell. When I tried the one
from vcs, the smell was also a problem, although less so. So, now
I have that one on the mattress, and a regular one on top of it.
Bingo, no smell, and the bed is protected.
