2166.0. "A great cat for an elderly person" by BPOV02::MACKINNON () Fri Jan 20 1989 12:43
Hi
I have a 5 year old female tiger cat that I would like to give
away. I just moved into a new apt which does not allow pets.
Sebastion is currently living with my mom, but there are 4 cats
there and mom wants her out. I just called the Animal Rescue
League to see if I could donate her to the Pets For People program.
But they can not guarantee that she will be put into that program.
Basically it is a pet adoption program for elderly folks.
Sebie would be great for an elderly person. She loves to be loved,
and she talks all day. She is small and doesnt eat much. Plus she
is light as a feather which would make her easy for an elderly
person to pick her up for a hug. She is a light brown tiger cat.
She is up to date with all of her shots, and she has been spayed.
She doesn't mind being by herself, but is much better if someone
is home alot for her. She is currently living with 3 others cats
and is quite used to having other cats around. I adopted her from
Salem animal shelter when she was 3 month old. So I don't want
to put her back into a shelter situation. Forgot to add that she
is a house cat. We let them out occasionally, but she usually
just sits at the door and watches.
If you know of an elderly person who would like a kitty for a
companion or if you know of anyone who might be interested in
taking her, please contact me at GIAMEM::MACKINNON. Or give me
a call at dtn 296-3054.
Thanks,
Michele
