A listing of houseplants poisonous to cats is available from Cornell University. Since there was no indication of a price in the magazine, I'm assuming that it's for free... A copy may be obtained by writing to: Cornell Feline Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, Schurman Hall, Ithaca, New York 14853 Ask for the Spring 1984 issue of "Perspective on Cats" JMcD

FWIW Cornell's phone number is 607-255-1000 That is the switchboard, and they will connect you to any department. In case somebody wants to doublecheck if it's free. -Nancy

In the lastest issue of Cats magazine (the one with the blue point Himalayan on it) there is a list of house plants and flowers poisonist to your cat. My copy is home but on monday we could publish a list here if there would be enough interest. One error they made which is a common one, is they listed the poinsettia as poison and, IT IS NOT. Having had my own florists shops for 18 years, we did a lot of research on that one as it affected our business. The other flowers and plants listed were accurate. Barbara

Unless there are plants significantly different than those listed in notes 266, 320.0, and 757, it would just be a duplication of effort to input the list. Pam |
