Last year I started making and effort to buy home and beauty
products that were not tested on animals. There are alternatives
to animal testing available today and I feel very strongly that
the pain and cruelty inflicted on animals in test labs is largely
unnecessary.
I have lists provided by both the National Anti-vivisection
Society and the 1989 PETA list (People for the Ethical Treatment
of Animals). Currently I only have the PETA listing in the office.
If anyone would like a copy I'll be happy to provide it. Just
send your mailstop.
Also, if anyone knows of good distributors for cruelty-free
products please let me know. I have been ordering a number of
things from Amberwood in Georgia (I live in Mass) and just
recently found out about a distributor in Worcester.

This is already covered in notes 1250 and 1758 (and maybe elsewhere as well). Please take the discussion there so it doesn't get fragmented. I'm going to set this note no-write. Pam | |||||
