2013.1 | Glad you asked | BRUTUS::BARR | I'm not overweight, I'm undertall | Wed Nov 30 1988 14:58 | 9 |
| I once had a ferret and two cats. They got along quite nicely for
the most part. They did get nasty to each other though on occasion.
I don't think you would have too much of a problem, especially if
the ferret is caged. The one thing I must warn you about though,
ferrets carry a rather unusual odor. If you can stand the smell,
I say go for it.

| One warning:
ferrets are very fierce fighters when cornered - as your cats and the
ferret are strangers to one another, I would be very concerned about
real injury. If the cats and the ferret are both very young when they
meet, it can be alright, but it is risky if the ferret is even half
grown. They are wild animals and can be dangerous.

Is this ferret in Nashua??
Reason being, when I was looking for a roommate, I interviewed
one girl who was moving out because her roommate had a ferret and
the animal was filthy.
I own a condo in Nashua and got my roomate thru a roommate service
in two days. Digital Classified Ads didn't help much, and classified
ads in the paper didn't help at all. The roommate service screens
applicants for you too. If you live in Nashua, the service is
Jepson Associates. You can get their number from the Telegraph.

2013.4 | Advice taken | WOODRO::MEISEL | | Thu Dec 01 1988 14:01 | 7 |
| Thanks to those who responded, I have decided to forget the ferret
and try the roommate service. I called George Jepson and he is
sending an application.
Thanks again for the advice.
