1927.1 | She got the shirt off my back! | SWAT::COCHRANE | | Mon Oct 31 1988 16:20 | 9 |
| I lost a shirt to Niniane. It's just a regular summer type shirt
made out of t-shirt material. She loves it! When I put it away
for the winter, she pulls it out of the box, and drags it around
the house with her!! I finally gave up and gave it to her. She
kneads it, chews on it and drags it around the house.
Talk about a security blanket!!

1927.2 | Animal Fat | FSHQA1::RWAXMAN | | Mon Oct 31 1988 16:24 | 7 |
| I read in Cat Fancy this month that what your cat is attracted to
is the animal fat in the wool. They say smearing butter on a saucer
and giving it to your cat will have the same effect and spare your
sweater from further harrassement.

| Honey does the same thing to an 'Irish knit' sweater I brought home
from Scotland. He's also got a thing for my wool blanket. Must
be the lanolin.
Re: .-1...Roberta, I tried the butter on the saucer; Honey rolled
in that, too...

| My Lara like cloth also, but is very satisfied with a toilet
seat cover or her suckie bankie, which is a piece of fake fur
(pink) - if all of the above are not right under her mouth,
she will opt for whatever I happen to be wearing !!

| Cravings of this type are also indications of vitamin deficiencies.
Just for fun, try a vitamin supplement in thier foods and see if
they start leaving your clothes alone!

1927.7 | Liquid Supplements? | CURIE::SADLER_TEMP | | Tue Nov 01 1988 13:25 | 4 |
| Re: vitamin deficiencies. One of my kits will eat vitamins, furball
medicine, snackies, etc. The other one will only eat `cat food'
and an occasional piece of turkey breast. What's a good liquid
vitamin that I could pour onto the IAMS?

1927.8 | my green robe | VIDEO::TEBAY | Natural phenomena invented to order | Wed Nov 02 1988 08:51 | 7 |
| One of mine, Fiver thinks my big green cuddley robe is his
moma. Everytime I wear it he jumps up and sucks on a corner of
the collar. I have another robe same material,bought at the same
time but it is maroon color. He never bothers it just the green
one. Within two seconds of seeing the green one and getting to
it he is nursing away. His moma was a yellow cat not green!

| Re: .7
Gee, if you feed Iams...you should not need vitamin supplements.
If the cat chews on clothing though, check with your veterinarian.
We have stopped this by offering cotton dipped in Caro syrup every
time someone eats something non-food. And, I don't know what liquids
are available....that's a good question!
BTW: I went to an Eukanuba seminar almost a year ago...What a night!
They showed videos of their upcoming commercials - which they NEVER
used in the past. Are'nt they great?!
