Hi, I'm new to this conference and am really enjoying reading all the great stories about this wonderful creature. I just had to tell you all about the interesting goings on at my house! My home is truly a zoo! I don't know sometimes how my husband puts up with it. I guess he just loves them all too. I have 3 cats plus a few that seem to like to hang around the house to enjoy the Friskies Ocean Fish Flavor food we leave out. I also have rabbits, birds, a dog and a horse. One of my rabbits has just come of age (If you know what I mean). He is constantly trying to mate with some of the female rabbits. Well he realized that the cage was too big an obstacle and has decided that my cats will do!. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen in my whole life. My two female cats won't really tolerate it but my male cat, a VERY large (overweight) cat thinks that bunny is playing. They roll around on the floor together and chase each other for hours but FATSO plays very kindly and doesn't have a clue as to what the bunny is really after. I tell ya, you would be laughing for hours! It brings tears to our eyes. If there is ever any off-spring, I will be a millionaire! And you can say you heard it here first folks! Well, keep up the great notes! Karen from Colorado

Our lop has come of age as well. At first he chased our 13 year-old part-Persian female, who would have none of it. Dopples has now settled for my father's leg, and Dad has about had it. We're debating having him neutered (Dopples, not Dad), but are getting advice from different veterinarians first. We don't want him to be periodically frustrated like this, but don't want to risk the shock of anesthesia that sometimes occurs with rabbits. Gunther, our big German Sheppherd/Husky/Black Lab dog, isn't too thrilled with Dops smelling his glands whenever he lays down, but is generally pretty patient with him. Feline friends Touey and Phaedra find Dops to be pretty fascinating... From another zoo home, Maureen

Isn't there a small animals conference (I forget its name). Perhaps they could offer advice.
