1790.0. "FREE KITTENS - Nashua, NH" by WOODRO::SAMPSON () Mon Sep 26 1988 10:36

                        FREE KITTENS - Nashua, NH

    Trying to find good homes for two litters of abandoned kittens.
    They are gray and white, very cute, with good personalities. There
    are 3 six weeks old and 3 eight weeks old. We have been taking them
    into our house at night to keep them from being attacked by some
    animal that has killed two of them. Since both my son and I are
    allergic to cats, we need to find homes VERY SOON.

    If you don't place these very young babies today, I would suggest
    you take them to the Nashua Humane Society where they'll at least
    be inside day and night until adopted. It was very kind of you
    to bring them inside at night though considering your son's and
    your allergy problem.

1790.3Nashua Humane SocietyMAMIE::SAMPSONMon Sep 26 1988 20:399
    My wife brought some abandoned kittens to the Nashua Humane Society
    about a year ago, hoping that they would find good homes. She told
    them to call her if they were going to put them to sleep because
    she would take them back. She called 3 HOURS LATER because she found
    someone that wanted one and was told that she was too late they
    were already dead. So that is why she will NEVER use the Nashua
    Humane Society again. These kittens are adorable and too sweet in
    temperment to be put to sleep. So my son and I will hang in as long
    as long as we can...sneeze, sneeze, sneeze.....

    I had negative feelings for the NHS also, but from what I have
    heard recently, they have changed considerably for the postive!
    Maybe wander on down there for a visit - it could change or
    start changing your mind! I think that they are trying hard
    to do better!

1790.5STILL AVAILABLEWOODRO::SAMPSONFri Sep 30 1988 09:399
    The 6 kittens are still available!!! They are getting more cute
    and cuddley by the day. But unfortunately I can't keep them much
    longer. I would like to see at least some of them find good homes
    before I have to send them off to the humaine society to be put
    to sleep. They are extremely playful and affectionate and would
    make an excellent pet. Also they are litter box trained. If interested,
    my home phone # in Nashua, NH is (603) 888-4455. Or my DTN at work is
    264-3224. Enet: CSS::SAMPSON

    Three have been placed in good homes. The other three were given
    a TEMPORARY home by a neighbor who took pity on our plight, allergies
    and all. Anyway, there temporary stay is up and I've been told that
    they HAVE TO GO! So if any of you out there can help or know of
    someone that would like a cute cuddley kitten, please call or send
    mail NOW because they have to go TODAY or it's off to the humaine
    society. We have no other choice.

1790.7"They are great kittens",says new owner. STARCH::SCALAThu Oct 06 1988 17:105
    I took two of these kittens home last night. They are very sweet
    and affectionate. There is one left from this same litter that
    needs a home.

    I just thought that any of you that have been following this story
    would like to know that all 6 kittens have found GOOD homes. Four as
    pairs and two as individuals. Three were placed though this notes
    file, two from the information board at work and my neighbor who
    gave some a temporary home kept one. So here is one story that has
    a happy ending.
