1755.0. "houseful of cats need homes" by DINSCO::FUSCI (DEC has it (on backorder) NOW!) Fri Sep 09 1988 19:21

Six Tonkinese kittens and three adult Siamese cats are in need of homes.

Born May 24:
	two natural mink males
	two platinum mink females

Born June 6:
	one platinum mink female
	one blue mink female

As we understand it, the 89-year-old breeder of these cats has been placed
in a Connecticut nursing home. A niece is traveling out from Michigan next
Thursday (September 13) to close the house. The neighbor who has been
taking care of these cats for the last month (including taking the kittens
to the vet's for shots) is trying real hard to find homes. She'd like to
get $150 each to cover expenses, but would probably take any offer.

If you are interested call the neighbor:

	Norma Koob, Guilford, CT
	203-457-1188

We would be willing to bring these cats up to the MA/NH area.

In general, a Tonk is a (old-style apple-headed Siamese) x (old-style
traditional Burmese) cross. They're an intermediate, short-haired cat,
very people-oriented.

I believe the Tonks in .0 are first generation crosses, that is, one or
more of those adult Siamese are one of their parents.

The adults are both bluepoints, one is 4-1/2 years old, the other is 6.

I believe all the kittens have been placed. (We managed to place three up
in Maine.)

Females or males? Would they be willing to split the Siamese or
do they perfer them to go together? I have two female Siamese
and wouldn't mind adding another female, but am unsure about bringing
    in a male cat.

    Thanks,

1755.6could you call direct?DINSCO::FUSCIDEC has it (on backorder) NOW!Thu Sep 22 1988 21:579
re: -< Gender? >-

I believe they are both females.

If you call the woman whose phone number I gave in .0, I'm sure she could
answer all your questions. I don't know enough about the cats to give you
answers, and I'm not around enough to be a reasonable go-between.
