1646.0. "calico needs home" by VIDEO::TEBAY (Natural phenomena invented to order) Thu Aug 11 1988 11:04

A real pretty calico has taken up residence at my house. At first
she was fairly shy but now is very loving and she wnats so much
    to be a house kitty.

She waits in the bushes for me in the morning and in the evening
and when I sit outside she sits at my feet.

She is very loving, about 4-6 months old.

I will pay all vet bills for shots and spraying if someone will
give her a good home. I would like to find one before winter.

Well, Maureen picked up the cat after a rather messed up time.
The kitty had an abcess and I got that fairly well cleared up.

She was scheduled to be spayed and I was on a hot project and
couldn't take her to the vet as I had a 7:00 AM meeting and had
not finished until 9 the night before. So I put her in the carrier
and called a cab to take her to the vet.

The vet called me about 10:00AM and said the cab company had delievered
an EMPTY carrier. She had been in the carrier when I had left at
6:30 and when my neighbor had left at 7:30 AM.

Needless to say I was very upset. My neighbor looked all afternoon.
No kitty. I came home that night around 7 and she was sitting on
the doorstep-like where have you been.

So she didn't get spayed before Maureen picked her up but she will
    shortly.

I am just glad she was ok and that she now has a good home.

    Thanks, Maureen.

I'm confused -- you left her sitting unattended outside in a carrier
for the cab to pick up at some later time?

Yes, in a locked carrier on the side porch. There was nothing esle
to do. She is either a very clever cat or someone let her out.
