I read that certain people diseases can be transmitted to cats. Of the three if I remember correctly they were hepatitus, encephalitis, and meningitis. I recently read this and for the life of me cannot remember where. I was always under the impression they could not catch anything from us. Anybody out there know??

I don't know about the three diseases mentioned in .0, but I *do* know that about 2-3 weeks ago, my 3 little kittens had discovered my trash can, and were having a field day with the trash...including dirty tissues -- and I had a cold then. Well...sure enough, all three kittens have colds now. I plan to ask the vet about transmission of cold virus! | |||||

Re; .1 No, people colds and feline colds are not transmittable to the other species. No need to worry when you're home with the sneezes and Doctor Cat cuddles up. |
