I read that certain people diseases can be transmitted to cats.
Of the three if I remember correctly they were hepatitus, encephalitis,
and meningitis. I recently read this and for the life of me cannot
remember where. I was always under the impression they could not
catch anything from us. Anybody out there know??

| I don't know about the three diseases mentioned in .0, but
I *do* know that about 2-3 weeks ago, my 3 little kittens
had discovered my trash can, and were having a field day with
the trash...including dirty tissues -- and I had a cold then.
Well...sure enough, all three kittens have colds now. I plan
to ask the vet about transmission of cold virus!

No, people colds and feline colds are not transmittable to the other
species. No need to worry when you're home with the sneezes and
    Doctor Cat cuddles up.
