    Thanks to everyone for their helpful advice regarding getting a
    playmate for Dinky - she has one now at last!
    
    Yesterday, I went round the cat rescue and adption homes and we
    finally settled on a spayed female of about the same age who is
    slightly smaller than Dinky (less threatening than a big Tom cat!)
    and is Siamese ("talks" to Dinky).
    
    We were AMAZED, the minute we put the carry box on the floor with
    the lid open Dinky ran straight up, looked over the top and - although
    obviously a bit surprised, sniffed the little puss's nose and tried
    to get in with her!!
    
    Lulu (she already had her name and it suits her well) is a bit scared
    at the moment but we all had a restful first night and although
    Dinky has hissed a couple of times when Lulu has cuddled up to me
    she is clearly more interested that she makes out (if Lulu disappears
    for more than five minutes behind a chair, Dinky goes and peeps
    at her or sits and cries at us if she can't find her.
    
    I am really pleased that we decided to get another puska, and the
    Cat Adoption home have a policy whereby if, after about two weeks,
    the cats are not even tolerant of each other, you can bring them
    back .......but I've got a feeling we won't need to I'm happy to
    say!!

    Hope you and the boyd (oh....sorry and Dave!!!) are all well!
    
    Lulu is almost five years old (but smaller than Dinky) and is a
    pedigree Sealpoint Siamese.  She's got a much less 'sharp' face
    than many of them have and luckily is a little bit quieter (although
    she can cry pretty loudly when she wants some dinner!!)
