1419.0. "Siamese/Russian Blue Kitten Wanted" by MTADMS::MFIELD () Wed Jun 01 1988 12:25

    Could someone please help me?

    I'm looking for breeders (or anyone) that has Siamese or Russian
    Blue kittens for sale for $50.00. I'm more interested in pet quality
    kittens (they make the best friends I think!)

    If anyone out there can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I can
    be reached on DTN 267-2300 or by VAX - OLDMAN::MFIELD.

    Oh, I forgot to mention that I would be willing to travel anywhere
    in the Northern New England area (as far south as Mass.)!

    Thanks,

    Margo Field

re: .0

You may have a hard time finding kittens at that price. No breeder that I
know could afford to ordinarily sell kittens at that price.

However, specials can and do occasionally occur, so patience may be
rewarded.

1419.2Adult cat?FSHQOA::RWAXMANWed Jun 01 1988 14:1610
    Another thing I have come across when talking to breeders: Some
    are willing to place an adult cat that they no longer want to breed
    for the price of the spay/neutering fee.

    If you are willing to take an adult cat (a better choice in my
    opinion), there may be a breeder in this very notes file who can
    help you.

    Any breeders out there agree??

    Yes, it seems that Penelope Greene wishes to place two of her adults.
    I have met them both. They are really special! I highly recommend
    them!

    I just read this, note #1411.13.

    PLEASE read Penelope's note. These cats sound very beautiful and
    too good to pass up!! I rescued two older cats from a very unfortunate
    situation and haven't regreted it for a minute!!! I know people
    hate to feel pressured into taking something they didn't have their
    heart set on (in this case, cats instead of kittens), but it wouldn't
    hurt to drop by Pen's house and see them.

    Do reconsider.

    Pen's babies are really beautiful! I've seen them also!
    Real doll babies and sweeter than sugar.

    Take two, they are small!

    Elaine - when (and where) did you get a 14th cat!!

    Was surprised to just now read about it - don't remember seeing
    an introduction note recently.

1419.8Thanks for your repliesMTADMS::MFIELDThu Jun 02 1988 09:1213
    Thanks for all your responses. I will check out about the adult
    cats, but I failed to mention that I already have two adult cats
    that are firmly entrenched. One is a 4-year old male Siamese/Balinese
    cross (and ruler of the house) the other is a 1 1/2-year old pure
    white American Shorthair who's got one green and one blue eye and
    is totally deaf, and she's so easy to get along with it's ridiculous!!
    Anyway, I'm not totally sure how the male would react to bringing
    in an adult into his domaine. I know he would tolerate a kitten
    easier than a full grown cat, but I'm not totally against it either.
    I think I'll talk with my husband first. Thanks!
