| Maggie likes:
Clannad, Gordon Lightfoot [especially the Canadian Railroad Trilogy],
& Juice Newton
Milo likes:
Jazzercise, Sweeney Todd, St.Elmo's Fire, Husker Du, & the Pogues
Cardigan doesn't voice many preferences yet, but sprawls out next
to one of the speakers when the tape of sounds from rain or thunderstorms
or the wood-masted sailboat is playing.
Those are my children The Moody, The Manic, & The Meditative

| Corkie loves music. Especially when my SO is playing the guitar.
She gets as close as she can and stretches out by him and listens.
When he stops, she goes off, but as soon as he picks up that guitar,
she comes running. She likes when I have the stereo on and goes
to sit in front of the speakers. She hasn't told me what her favorites
are, but I don't think she's too picky.

T.C. loves music. It's hard to believe but he actually does have
a favorite song .... Old Friend by Phyllis Hyman. It's the 4th
or 5th song on the album and as soon as it comes on he jumps in
my lap and purrs his little hear out. As soon as it's over he's
on his way again. This is guaranteed to work about 95% of the
time.
At least we have the same taste in music (that's my favorite song
on the album too!)

1376.8 | | SCRUZ::CORDES_JA | By the shards of my dragon's egg | Wed May 18 1988 22:14 | 11 |
| Bailey likes me to sing to her. I usually just sing along to the
radio. Seems her favorite is an old Irving Berlin (I think) song
"Always". Her favorite part is when I sing "I'll be loving you
always..." She's so lovable when I sing to her which is surprising
since I don't sing that well.
Amelia hasn't expressed much of an interest in music or a desire
to hear me sing to her. I think she'd much rather sit in my lap
and just watch tv.

1376.9 | Hey, Mom, how 'bout some Bach? | CLUSTA::TAMIR | ACMS design while-u-wait | Wed May 18 1988 23:22 | 9 |
| Honey loves Bach. A little while ago, I had a gentleman friend
over for dinner and Honey took refuge under my bed. As soon as
I put on some Bach, he came bounding down the stairs with the look
of "Bach! You know how I love Bach!" on his face. He plopped himself
onto the speaker and purred away for the rest of the evening. Chauncey
seems to have a thing for Anita Baker....

| Omar just loves the Early Pianoworks of Satie, played by Reinbert
de Leeuw. Whenever he hears it he finds himself a really relaxed
place, cuddles up and enjoys the music visibly...
Chanel on the other hand doesn't care for music, but she loves to
disturb lazy Omar when he's listening.
Both of them hate hardrock, especially when it's played loud....So
sometimes they have a bad time...;-)

How did you get the cursor to only go one line at a time in your
original note when listing those cat songs.
By the way, Fred likes any song with a TOM TOM drum in it...sorry,
thats the best I could do.

| Charlie and Shanti love music too! And each has different tastes!
Charlie for one, loves Whitney Houston, or any good "top 40" song
with a beat. He rolls, and purrs, and is in 7th heaven. As soon
as the song is done, he leaves, until another one he likes comes
on!
Shanti on the other hand likes George Thorogood and the Delaware
Destroyers. Rhythm and blues, all the way! Also, when I do my
Jazzercise tape, she's right down there on the floor excersizing
with me!

| Hannah LOVES Bruce Springsteen - especially the latest video. when it
comes on TV she runs to the screen and tries to touch things on the
screen. Bizarre (although, I do agree about Bruce's music - it's wonderful).
Nick and Sam enjoy the STONES...they roll around on the floor in front
of the speakers when I play "It's Just a Shout Away (Give Me Shelter)"
nice and loud....I think it has to do with Charlie Watts' drumming.
Or maybe they are just really with it cats....
Tabby is so stuffy, she probably prefers opera or something....but she
won't get it here!

| My cat (and dog) prefer one particular "soothing" FM station, which
I leave on whenever I'm not home. They let me know by their behavior
if 1/ I've forgotten to leave the radio on, or 2/ have left it on
a more classical station.
