1375.0. "Have Cat, but must travel" by PARSEC::BOURQUE (jjjjj::jjjjjj) Tue May 17 1988 17:36

We're moving far far away and can't reasonably take him with us.

Where:	Sandown, N.H. (Will transport locally, and to Tewksbury Ma. area)
Gender:	Male (Nutered)
Name:	Fred
Age:	2.5 years
Hair:	Short
Coat:	Black and brown tiger, very dark
Breed:	Mixed
Size:	Small to Medium (less then 10 pounds)
Traits:	Outdoor cat, Shy, Only fed dry catfood, not a heavy eater.
Important: Was once hit by a car, so now knows to stay away from them.

As Indicated above, we're moving. Where we'll be located is not a good area
for cats, especially outdoor cats. Fred is used to lots of room to run and
play. We have about 1 acres and the neighbors have similar amounts of room.
Can't concider closing him into an apartment where we'll be. He prefers the
outdoors except during bad weather, especially at night. He usually sleeps
outside, even during the winter (has a cat house). He loves attention, and
to have his belly rubbed/scratched. If we can't find a home for him in the
next 2 weeks, there aren't many options left.

Sorry, NO. The apartment is 3000 miles away (we'll be going slowly by
car). Besides which pets aren't allowed in the apartments.

We've asked all the relatives, neighbors, friends we can think of. We've
even asked the people buying the house, a few "no so friendly people,
and a large number of strangers (we've met them but don't KNOW them).
Fred is a sweet cat and we don't want to leave him, but we don't have
any reasonable choices.

If you know of anyone, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, tell them about Fred.

Thanks,
Bernie

Not much time left and options are just about non existant. Its
off to the Humane society on Friday if nothing turns up before then.
If anyone has any thoughts, speak now or forever hold your piece.

Call me at home for a quick response. (603)887-3002

Couldn't you try keeping him inside? Most cats can adapt amazingly
well. And a car trip can be managed with a little care.
