1373.0. "A little bragging - A lot of CFF Info" by TOPDOC::TRACHMAN () Tue May 17 1988 15:25
I would like to announce that Katenka Dolly ZhivagoCat
is now a CFF Grand Companion Cat, as of this past Sunday.
Katenka achieved Companion Cat on Saturday and Grand Companion Cat
on Sunday. She also won two Morris Tropies this past weekend in
Albany - one for highest cumulative score for the show and the other
for highest scoring Tabby and White in Show.
Needless to say, she has a very proud Mom!

RE: 1
Well, to show a household pet:
First you will need to get in touch with the entry clerk
for the show you want to enter - There is a show in
West Springfield MA that is still accepting entries
for both household pets & apparent purebreds (household
pets that look like a purebred but either pet quality or
not registered - entry clerk is Bev Hardacre 617-688-6790).
The entry clerk will explain all you need to know about
dressing your cage with drapes, what grooming tools you
will need. The cat must be clean - bathed before the
show - both front and back nails must be clipped - ears
clean and the cat must be healthy and up-to-date on all
shots. As long as your kitty can be handled by a strange
person, that's about all that's needed. You will know
by trying him in one or two shows.
Also, if you don't want to bathe the cat yourself, you
can take him to a groomer - lots of folks do that for
many different reasons.
Yes, if they are declawed they can not be shown.
RE:2 Deb, I guess that is a cable station in Boston. I get
the feeling that I probably won't get to see it unless they
tape it and show it at some show on a video machine.
The banquet is open to the public - any one interested can attend
the dinner (for a $$) and the award ceremonies. Top Ten winners
will be asked to submit color slides to be put up when the award
is presented to the owner of that cat.
