| Gosh, these are young kitties! Is anyone out there listening?
Bruce, can we have a little more information about the kitties?
Holly, Karen, Steve? Are you out there?

| Bruce is out of town this week, however, I DID meet them both
this past weekend. The 11 month old (Pamela) is a WONDERFUL
gray and stripped cat with an adorable tiger face including nice
long whiskers. She is gentle and calm, and very well behaved.
Fluffy, the younger one, is yellow and white (not sure if a tabby),
playful and adorable. She is spunky and a little shy, but just
as well behaved as Pamela.
Bruce and Connie would like to place them together, but realize
that may not be possible. They are in a bit of a rush (their landlord
is forcing them to get rid of them this week), so if anyone is
interested, I can give you their phone number.

| I had sent some mail asking for more info. on the cats,
particularly their location. Perhaps you (re.-1) can
tell us where they are located? Also, why is their
landlord forcing them to get rid of the cats? Were
they not allowed to have them in the first place?

| They are located in Natick in an apartment/(condo-owned apartments)
complex. Apparently one of the other tenants who owns a cat
had a run-in with another tenant and this brought attention to
the condo association (or apartment landlord) who decided EVERYONE
in that complex had to get rid of the cats.
From what I could tell, the owners of these kittens did a wonderful
job training them to be well behaved in an apartment setting (neither
one jumped on or scratched any of the furniture).
They are hoping that they won't have to give them to a humane society,
but the apartment management is really breathing down their backs
do so something this week.

| Do they live in the Natick Village/Deerfield complex by any
chance? This is where I lived when I first got cats and
they were "no pets" then too.
What "OFFICIAL" document have they got so far and how did
management know they have cats anyway? Personally I would just
keep them until legally evicted, and then I'd find a new place
to live.

| Yes, what's the official legal status of this? I read in the paper
about a case where a court decided that because the condo management
had known of the presence of pets for some period of time and hadn't
enforced the no pets rule (assuming there even is a no pets rule
in this case), that they lost their legal right to do so.

| So what is the latest on these two kitties? The owners should try
and keep them a bit longer and tell the landlord that they are in
the process of finding them a good home. Can someone let us know
what the latest word is?

1307.8 | A Happy Ending | DELNI::C_MILLER | | Mon May 16 1988 17:44 | 5 |
| Well there *IS* a happy ending to this story! Last Friday night
I picked up the 11 month old (Pamela). She will be vacationing
with me while Bruce buys/rents a new condo/apartment. The 6-month
old is also being temporarily taken care of! In the meantime,
I'm having a wonderful time with her!
