| It always seems as soon as I get Barney and Gonezo in the carrier,
one of them (usually Gonezo) decides to pee. Since Ben gets his
own carrier (the cardboard box kind), he doesn't do this. However,
last time I brought them all back from the vet (they had their teeth
cleaned), I decided to let Ben out of his box. Not even a mile from
home, he got REAL quiet and then there was the stench. He poo'd on
the back seat (probably while Gonezo was doing his thing in the
big carrier). I don't know what makes them do this, but it drives me
crazy.
As for using the rug as a scratching post, Gonezo uses an old braided
rug that I've had since college. It's got holes in it and everything,
but the cats all love to play with it and poke through the holes. I
do find it hard to believe, though, that Cinamon's rug is an Oriental!
One can tell that he has a good life.
