Hallmark sells a pin with that saying on it, I saw it right after
I had lost and found Mielikki one weekend. Someone in carbuffs
had it as a personal name, someone else responded with a personal
name of "I love cat haters...dead ones". But I guess the person
didn't evoke enough anger because I didn't see it for very long.
People are strange...

| I had an experience with a cat hater,, Like many of you probably
do, I had hung three or four photo's of my precious pets ( Cat and
kitten ) in my office...
they were the sweetest shots you could imagine...( the
kitten just peeking over a throw pillow on the couch , and the cat
sitting in a patch of sun with his "mozart" look ) ...Anyway, some
idiot, possibly one I work with or around, took it upon themselves
to enter my office and destroy my pictures. I cried for hours and
went home sick ( as I truly was over the incodent ). Not only hurt
to see my precious kitty's faces all crinkled and torn, but to
know that there are adults right here in our working environment
with these capabilities....weather it was personal or a violent
dislike for cats ---- they really hit where it hurt!
the incodent was reported to security but what could they do?

God, that's awful. Someone is really sick. I hope you don't work
around there any more. (And, is that thing really made by Hallmark?
If so, I'm never buying a Hallmark anything again.)

I don't know if it's *made* by Hallmark, but it is *sold* by Hallmark.
It was on the pin rack in the Hallmark in the Pheasant Lane Mall.
It was sometime around Christmas.

I would be willing to bet that a concerted effort of letter writing by
animal lovers would inform Hallmark that they are alienating a large
segment of the buying public.....how do we get the address?? I'm sure
a letter to Cat Fancy with the address enclosed could get someone's
attention???

| A friend of mine called me the other day, she was all upset because
she had seen that awful bumper sticker on the car in front of her.
She became so angry that she pulled up beside him and "whipped him
the bird". I am all for informing Hallmark - and to think - I always
watch their specials on T.V.

| Any update on where we can write to object to the pins and/or these
bumper stickers. I have seen two of these d*$^ things recently.
I never liked the "101 Uses for a dead....." phase and I'm hoping this
isn't the start of another sick year. Having recently gone through the
loss of one of our kitties, that bumper sticker really rubbed a
raw nerve.
Please let us know if there is somewhere we can write!
